Special Event - Pride Charlotte Run Saturday July 25, 2009

 



T
he Charlotte Front Runners will move its regular Saturday run on July 25 to Gateway Village (800 West Trade Street) in uptown Charlotte in conjunction with the Pride Charlotte 2009 weekend. The group will host a “Pride Front Runners run” at 10 a.m., beginning and ending at Gateway Village, which is the location of Pride Charlotte 2009.

The Pride run will consist of a 4-mile course laid out for a social run/walk through Uptown Charlotte and the historic Wesley Heights neighborhood.

The Charlotte Front Runners is a running and walking club serving the Greater Charlotte area LGBT community and their friends. We welcome runners and walkers of all abilities. The mission of the club is to promote physical fitness and provide a way for Gays & Lesbians who have an interest in running and walking to meet and socialize.

The Charlotte Front Runners currently holds two weekly runs/walks.

Saturday
Meet in the Caribou Coffee/Brueggers Bagels parking lot (1531 East Blvd) at 9:00 am. Breakfast afterwards next door at Brueggers Bagels).

Monday
Meet at the Dowd YMCA (400 E Morehead St) back porch at 6:30 pm. Dinner afterwards.

We welcome runners and walkers of all speeds. We usually split into 2, 4 and/or 6 mile groups to accommodate everyone’s abilities.
